Head Instructor: Teresa Yamada
I started Judo when I was 12 and then, in the late 80s, continued my training at the University of Lethbridge, where I competed for the U of L Judo Team and the Alberta Senior Provincial Team for 3 years. I am a 2nd degree Black Belt, Judo Canada Certified Coach with a current Level II NCCP Certification (Dojo Instructor), and a current Red Cross First Aid course. While in Lethbridge, my Sensei was Dr. Yoshio Senda (1922-2009), and it is my goal to continue to pass on the principles of judo that he taught me. The most important of these principles are: have a good attitude in whatever you do, learn to be humble and thankful, never give up, and most importantly, always have fun.
